At the end of the foot path that intersects the trail at post 18, you will come to this observation deck on the Hillsborough River. A quiet spot to rest and observe others enjoying an extremly wet trail using paddle power instead of pedal power. There is also the remains of yet another old bridge and road beyond that tell of a time when the original settler worked and lived on this land. There has been talk of connecting the "Fort Brook" trail, being built near "Hillsborough River State Park", with the "Wilderness Park Loop". Could this old road be that link?
